Entry level case with features of a premier case : Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid Tower ATX Case (RC-912-KKN1)
This is a great and cheap case with good width for tall Cpu heatsinks like the Thermalright Silver Arrow. Purchased this case to get ready for a new law build.
I waited for a price drop on this case because on median it cost $50-$60. Purchased this case on July 19, 2011 when the priced dropped to $47, shipped. But the price didn't last long as it jumped back up to $55 the next day.
Purchased additional Cm fans for this case. As I went to install the fans I heard rattling sounds arrival for the unopened box. Opened the box and found the front face plate was damaged. Only one of the six plastic of the face plate was cracked. Reasoning it was okay, I added some glue onto the crack and try to avoid that area for time to come references. Opened the case and found a Pci cover and the screw laying in there, this was cause of the rattling sound in the case. These should have been attached to the additional slot away from the motherboard's Pci slots. It also had some paper film inside the case which didn't belong there. A bit confused, but still went ahead and install the fans anyways.
I felt I was short changed a bit because the goods was advertised as New, but it clearly shows that it was opened before because the a Pci cover was flying around in the case with some unknown paper, plus the front plate had a crack and the cardboard box showed no sign of damages to that area. Trying to save the hassle of shipping it back. Hopefully there are no issues with the switches because I am still waiting on other computer parts to be released before I test them.
This would have been 5 stars, but loss a star due to bad goods management. I am not going to hate and send it back because someone else might suffer the same ordeal. I should be able to survive from this.
